The Dobby inspired Huggable House Elf

A little over a year ago I joined a Halloween Gift Swap. My recipient was a Harry Potter loving soul and also requested something handmade. Being who I am, that obviously meant an Amigurumi of some kind, after days of character image searching ( I’ll admit, I’m not really a fan of Harry Potter, had to look up the movies ), I settled on making her a Dobby. Everyone else seemed a bit to bland and I was looking to make something in a larger size. Little bit of drawing, little bit of frustration, and a lot of “does this look right” texts to my sister ( she loves that series! ) Dobby was born.
Fast forward to now and I finally decided to clean up his pattern to share with everyone else. It’s only been a year after all!!
I think he’s an easy pattern to follow, you’ll need basic stitch knowledge, no fancy stitches used! And I’m always here to help and answer questions. I also teach how I connect fingers and toes in this pattern ( always a good technique to know for Amigurumi makers 😉 )
He is available for purchase in my Ravelry store:

Hope you enjoy!!

The Knee Hugger (a pattern for sale)

I’m absolutely in love with the vintage knee hugger elves. Someday I will own one!! My grandmother has quite a few and my goal is to acquire some of hers. She did just give me her pyrex bowls so I’m thinking asking to have her Christmas decorations is not a good idea…. So, in the mean time I have decided to make one. Here he is!!

IMG_0315.JPG After a lot of brainstorming, a smidge of swearing, and a bit of tears ( not really, or maybe…..) his pattern is complete. It is for sale at my Ravelry store ( buy it! ), link in my bio, and I’m working on mastering linking it straight from here for you!!
